It is important to me that I support my clients through their job seeking process. I like to utilise my skills as a teacher when I develop CV and Cover Letters for my clients. So I thought I would share what I do to make sure my clients feel confident and prepared for their job hunt.
Here are 4 ways where I go the extra mile to make sure my clients are prepared for their job search.
#1 - Having a chat and getting to know my clients.
I ask my clients informative questions to make sure I know more about them. This way I can personalise their cv and cover letters to highlight my client's skills and the passionate aspects they wish to highlight as well. I studied the compiled information so I know exactly what parts are the show-stopping pieces of their experience which will attract employers.
#2 - Developing a CV and Cover Letter.
I develop a CV and/or cover letter that highlights the skills that truly showcase what they have to offer. Many clients have management and leadership skills and experiences, so I like to focus on positive skills like these when developing the CV and/or cover letter. Clients usually have experience with projects that require communication skills and attention to detail too, so I highlight these aspects, as well as any aspects my clients have requested.
#2 - Providing productive feedback throughout the CV and cover letter development experience.
When I come across clients with specific skills, I like to let me know what they are when I am communicating with them, so they know what to highlight when they are in their job interviews. Maybe it is their fantastic work history, their bubbly and vibrant personality, or their ability to lead and communicate effectively. Whatever it is, it is important to me that I share these skills with my clients.
#3 - Being supportive and encouraging when starting their job search.
I am kind, honest and supportive when I leave Google review feedback. I comment with a positive message to wish my clients well on their job hunt. The feedback usually involves a strength of theirs. This makes them feel confident and positive about their next step jumping into their job search.

#4 - Double checking they feel confident.
By double checking my clients feel confident with their CV and cover letters, they can enter the next phase of job seeking and job interviews with confidence. Having a professional CV and Cover Letter is like a new haircut; if you feel great, then you are likely to radiate your confidence through your job applications and interviews. This will also mean employers will be able to see your potential.
A mutual trust and development of goals are essential when working with my clients on their CV and cover letters. I want to make sure my clients feel prepared to enter the job seeking world. Job hunting can be stressful, as can developing your CV and Cover Letter, that is why I like to take the pressure from my clients and highlight their skills - the best way I know how - through my professional CV and cover letters, and, through productive and positive feedback.
If you feel great, then you are likely to radiate your confidence through your job applications and interviews, and employers will be able to see your potential.
