Spring is only a few days away and I am sure many of us New Zealanders are ready for the sunshine!
With new flowers blossoming, so too are excellent jobs available in NZ's trusty job search advertisement platforms.
It is important to me that my clients enter their job search with confidence. This is why I have 3 tips for your Job hunt.
Some Quick Guidelines on Formatting
Don’t make your guide longer than 2000 words. In an ultimate guide, you also have a lot of space to use your SEO keywords. Put 2-3 keywords around in the post, in the H2 headings, and in the text itself. Add Anchors Links much like a table of contents where readers can click and go to a section of the post. To add them, click on Link in the toolbar above, select Section and select one of the headings in the post.
Tip #3: If you can, go and meet the manager.
Tip#1: Apply for the ideal job anyway!
Jumping into a new job can be hard. You may have lost your confidence from prior work environments or maybe it has been a long time since jumping back into the workforce. However! You may be the person this job requires so apply anyway. Who knows, you may end up receiving an interview!
Being a stay at home mum for many years or someone venturing out into full time work for the first time doesn't change what a manager is after. There are so many managers out there looking for a fresh take or someone with worldy knowledge in something else like managing a home. Maybe they need a womanly touch or someone with a traditional touch on the workforce. Regardless, try not let your self-doubt hold you back from applying for the job of your dreams.
Tip #2: Purchase our professional CV and cover letter(s).

Tip #3: If you can, go and meet the manager.
Many jobs require a people-person and can-do attitude. So, it can be of an advantage to you if you go and visit the manager, introduce yourself and say you are applying for the job at hand. This also allows for the manager to see the person beyond the paper application.
I have talked with many of my clients and their strengths are in speaking and communicating with others. So, visiting and introducing themselves to the manager has allowed them to showcase their biggest asset - their sparkling personality!
